1 Bangkok Temples & Markets

Morning
Arrive at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport. Take the Airport Rail Link to central Bangkok (฿45, 30 mins). Check into your hotel in Khao San Road or Silom area. Freshen up and grab breakfast at a street stall (฿30–50).
Afternoon
Visit Grand Palace (Wat Phra Kaew) — Thailand's most sacred temple (฿500 entry). Dress respectfully (long pants, covered shoulders). The architecture is breathtaking. Take photos and explore for 2–3 hours.
Evening
Explore Khao San Road (backpacker hub with street food, bars, shops). Dinner at a street vendor or restaurant (฿60–150). Experience Bangkok's nightlife. Optional: Visit a traditional Thai massage place (฿200–300 for 1 hour).

2 Floating Markets & Local Life

Early Morning
Day trip to Amphawa Floating Market (30 mins from Bangkok by taxi/tour ฿1,000–1,500). Arrive before 8 AM to see vendors selling produce from boats. Explore the market, sample local snacks (mango sticky rice, ฿30–50).
Afternoon
Visit a nearby temple or local village. Return to Bangkok. Stop at Lumphini Park (free) for evening walk and Thai massage stalls.
Evening
Dinner at a local restaurant in Silom area. Try pad thai, green curry, or tom yum soup (฿80–200). Explore Bangkok's night markets or visit a rooftop bar for sunset drinks.

Morning
Quick flight or overnight train to Phuket/Krabi (from Bangkok). Alternatively, 4-hour minibus. Settle into beachside accommodation. Relax at Kata Beach or Patong Beach.

Best Time to Visit

Cool Season (November–February): Perfect weather, cool and dry. Best time to visit. Peak tourist season but worth it.

Hot Season (March–May): Extremely hot and humid (40°C+). Fewer tourists, lower prices. Physically exhausting.

Rainy Season (June–October): Monsoon rains, afternoon showers. Lush green scenery. Cheapest accommodation. Fewer tourists but unpredictable weather.

Getting Around Thailand

Bangkok Metro: BTS Skytrain and MRT subway cover most of Bangkok. Fast and efficient. Fares ฿16–59 depending on distance. Get a Rabbit card (rechargeable) for convenience.

Taxis & Tuk-tuks: Taxis cost ฿35 base fare + ฿5.50 per km. Tuk-tuks are cheaper for short distances (฿40–150). Always use the meter or negotiate upfront.

Buses: Extensive network, very cheap (฿5–30). Less comfortable but good for locals and budget travelers.

Inter-city Transport: Buses and trains connect Bangkok to other cities. Overnight sleeper trains popular and affordable (฿500–1,500).

Domestic Flights: Budget airlines (Thai AirAsia, Nok Air) offer cheap flights between major cities (from ฿300).

Travel Essentials

Visa for Indians: Visa-free stay for 30 days. Alternatively, apply for 60-day tourist visa at Thai embassy (₹850 approx). Valid for 60 days.

Money: Thai Baht (฿). 1 USD = ~33–35 THB (varies). Very affordable. ATMs everywhere accept international cards. Most places cash-only, but cards work in malls and hotels.

SIM Card: Buy at airport (AIS, DTAC, True Move). Unlimited data plans ฿300–500 for 7 days. Excellent 4G coverage.

Apps: Google Maps, Grab (Uber equivalent), ThaiVisa, Agoda (hotels), Line (messaging).

Language: English limited outside tourist areas. Learn basic Thai phrases. Download Google Translate for help.
